Resilience in Leadership

A new report from Clore Social Fellow, Bhaggie Patel, discusses the importance of resilience in leadership. Resilience is an important leadership characteristic that greatly impacts the functioning of an organisation. This report goes beneath the surface to ask people where they think their resilience comes from, and then pulls together the responses and strategies put forth by the interviewees.

From Fundraising To Resource-Raising

New research from Clore Social Fellow Caroline Beaumont presents the case for charities to develop a resource-raising strategy and offers some practical advice on how to do it. The report argues that charities could unlock untapped resources if they were more strategic about raising non-cash gifts including goods, services, skills, knowledge, access and influence.

Leading through uncertainty – learning from crisis

This research was completed by nfpSynergy on behalf of Rashid Iqbal, Clore Fellow 2010. The aim of the research project was to understand the sector's response to the Comprehensive Spending Review 2010, and through this to explore the leadership behaviours played by different organisations with a view to contributing towards building a more effective and resilient sector. The quantitative research reported in this presentation is one element of the research programme that also comprised a desk research element, qualitative interviews with sector leaders and a round table discussion.
