Small Change: How charity lottery limits impact on small charities

Our new report with the People's Postcode Lottery highlights how fundraising limits affect charity lotteries- and ultimately hurt smaller charities. It explores the fundraising environment for small charities, examines charity lottery regulation and its impacts, as well as analysing attitudes toward charity lottery limits among MPs and the general public.

Some key figures:

  • Only three in ten funding applications by small charities were able to be awarded over the last two years due to sales limits.
  • Local charities has lost out on £45mn of funding as a result of charity lottery restrictions.
  • Nine out of every ten small charity grantees and applicants of Postcode Trusts' community programmes agree charity lottery limits should be raised.
