In recent days and weeks, we have all been witness to a huge moment in the fight against racial inequality across the world. In the charity sector, questions are now being confronted as to how we better reflect the societies that we live and work in. Research carried out with the BAME community by nfpSynergy at the end of last year seeks to contribute to this discussion.

We surveyed 1,000 members of Britain's Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME)​ population to learn more about the ways this audience engages with charities. The blog takes a closer look at volunteering, fundraising and trust in institutions trends among the BAME population and compares those to some of the findings from our research with the general public done through our Charity Awareness Monitor (CAM).
