Over the past few years, we have had more and more conversations with funders looking to understand the impact and limitations of ‘Funder Plus’ support and whether offering this type of additional support should be a consideration for their organisation. ‘Funder plus’, also known as ‘grants plus’ or ‘funding plus’, is generally thought of as support from funders in addition to the grant or grant-making process.

Ahead of a looming election, it is crucial to understand the public's attitudes towards the involvement of charities in politics. This report is a collaboration between the Shelia McKechnie Foundation and nfpResearch, and explores how aware the public is of the political work of charities. This includes whether they feel this is a space that charities should occupy, and who people think should be involved in politics.

The last 5 years have seen a global network of climate activist groups take to the streets to demand faster and more comprehensive action on the climate emergency. Their efforts have been driven by a concern for the escalating pace of the crisis and a frustration with the negligence demonstrated by political leaders.
